By my creations I would like to take you on a journey into a world of colours, shapes and patterns. A world where surprising creations are possible by combining these elements and match them into a harmonious whole.

While working with colour, patterns and shapes of polymerclay I often get inspired by, fabrics, ceramics, tapestries, mosaics, etc from various cultures. I usually work in themes such as Africa, Eastern Europe, Japan, Morocco, Gypsies, etc. It’s always a challenge to give in my creations my own twist to these cultures.
Intricate caning is my passion, I always start with a vage plan for a pattern or a colourpalet, appropriate to the culture that I have in mind. I just start and see what happens! What colour would look nice with the colour or figure that I have already made? So I work step by step to the endresult which always is surprising. It’s all about harmony and beauty.
Lately I also like to work with media as alcohol ink, gilderspaste, acrylics , embossing powders, etc. For me a whole new world to discover! I Experience that a lot of beautiful effects can be achieved by combining these media. Working with Polymerclay is for me a “never ending story”!

Graag neem ik je mee op een ontdekkingsreis in de wereld van kleuren, vormen en patronen. Een wereld waarin verrassende creaties mogelijk zijn door deze aspecten met elkaar te mixen en te matchen tot een harmonisch geheel. Deze mix van kleuren, vormen en patronen kom je overal op de wereld tegen: in de natuur, in stoffen, aardewerk, tapijten, mozaiëken, etc. Het is daar waar ik mijn inspiratie vandaan haal en heb weten te terug te brengen in het samenstellen van sieraden passend bij het modebeeld van nu. Wanneer je met mij deze reis gaat maken, zul je net als ik ontdekken dat niets lelijk is! Dat een gekozen mix met de juiste match schoonheid versterkt op een subtiele manier
Het onbeperkt kunnen combineren met kleuren en patronen daagt uit om het ogenschijnlijk onmogelijke mogelijk te maken.
